A Serene Bamboo Room for Traditional Omakase

Grab a counter seat for raw cuts flown in from Japan, or keep midday simple with the value lunch set.

Settle in at Sushi Yasuda.

🎋 Bamboo Counter Notes

Sushi Yasuda keeps its focus tight, traditional sushi and omakase served in a serene bamboo room near Grand Central. The space channels the warm glow and focused attentiveness of dining in Japan, and the fish is flown in from Japan.

Grab a seat at the sushi counter and go with the omakase, letting the raw selection lead the meal. The craft stays minimalist, with each piece arriving clean and simple. At midday, a value lunch set gives a lighter way in at the same counter, and pricing otherwise sits at the special occasion end.

Lunch runs Monday through Friday from noon to 3 PM, with dinner from 6 PM to 11 PM on those nights. Saturday is dinner only from 5 PM to 11 PM, and Sunday is closed. The room is open to reservation holders who arrive on foot only, which means walking in from the street at 204 East 43rd Street.
