🥧 Crusts with a Backstory

This Lower East Side pie shop carries a family tradition from Virginia to Delancey Street. Founder Petra Paredez grew up learning the trade at her parents' pie shop in Leesburg before opening Petee's in 2014, and everything is still made from scratch daily.

The kitchen bakes with organic flour and grass fed butter, turning out rich crumb crusts and a rotation that runs from classic family recipes to inventive seasonal flavors. Look for brown butter honey pecan, cherry crumble with a salty, nutty bite, and guava mascarpone.

At the counter, individual slices are available to go, with coffee and scoops of ice cream alongside. Seating is limited to a small bar inside, which makes a slice and a coffee the natural order. The shop opens at 11 AM Monday through Thursday and at 10 AM Friday through Sunday, and every day it stays open until 11 PM, late enough for a dessert run after dinner on the Lower East Side.
