Description

Originally built in 1916 for shipping and recreation, the promenade spans six city blocks along the waterfront. Beyond its open docks, the area brings together year-round free arts programming, carnival rides, retail shops, and cultural pavilions.

Walking out toward the tip offers wide perspectives of the water against the city edge. For weather breaks, a large indoor food court provides refuge from seasonal heat or cold, while the main Ferris wheel carries visitors in air-conditioned gondolas.
