Homemade Pasta in Hell's Kitchen From a Dancer and a Designer
Twirl homemade pasta in Hell's Kitchen in an intimate room run by an actor who cooks and a designer who mixes drinks.
🍝 Eggplant, Specials and Carbonara
Homemade pasta in Hell's Kitchen takes a personal turn at Foodance Italian Restaurant, an intimate room at 468 W 47th St run by married partners Cesare and Kevin. Cesare, an actor and dancer, cooks, while Kevin, an interior designer, crafts the cocktails.
Order the eggplant appetizer first, a starter diners keep praising, then ask about the creative daily specials before choosing pasta. Light carbonara also draws praise, and dessert closes the meal on a sweet note.
The restaurant sits a block west of the Ninth Avenue crowd, close enough to Times Square for a pre-theater dinner. Monday through Thursday it serves from half past four to 10 PM, Sunday from noon to 10 PM, and Friday and Saturday from noon until 1 AM, a late window for an after-show plate of pasta and one more cocktail from Kevin.
