Married partners Cesare, an actor who cooks, and Kevin, an interior designer who crafts the cocktails, run the intimate room. Situated a block west of the Ninth Avenue crowd, it serves as a friendly stop for pre-show dining. Beyond the standard menu, the kitchen turns out creative daily specials, including a popular eggplant appetizer and light carbonara. While the desserts and attentive service win praise, some note the pistachio gelato can be a bit granular and the wine list is fairly puny.
