A nonprofit arts hub keeping carnival history alive with museum artifacts, a classic sideshow, and an on-site bar.
Description

Set inside a landmarked building on Surf Avenue, this nonprofit arts organization anchors South Brooklyn's amusement district while working toward the area's cultural and economic revitalization. Visitors encounter the neighborhood's carnival heritage across multiple spaces, including pieces from original rides over 100 years old housed in the upstairs museum. Live programming unfolds on the main stage through engaging sideshow performances that balance old-timey charm with fiery, funny acts. The venue also hosts the annual Mermaid Parade and houses the on-site Freak Bar for drinks alongside a gift shop.
