A Queens Waterfront Park for Low Flying Planes
Stroll the College Point shoreline for Whitestone Bridge views and LaGuardia landings overhead.
🌊 Boats, Bridges, and Planes
In College Point, Hermon A. MacNeil Park turns a compact peninsula into a waterfront walk with green space and recreation. The shoreline looks toward boats on the East River, the Whitestone Bridge, and planes landing low over LaGuardia. The park is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, giving you room for a morning loop or an after work reset.
Named for an early twentieth century sculptor, the park occupies the former Chisholm estate. A flagpole marks the site of the original stone mansion, while a paved woods trail cuts through the green space and meadow. Follow it toward the esplanade, where fishermen gather, then look for the kayak launch at the water.
Basketball and handball courts, a ball field, and a busy playground sit alongside the waterfront. Street parking is the only option, restrooms are on site, and an early arrival makes the curb hunt easier.
