Astoria Park

Spanning nearly 60 acres, the park is a lively, family-friendly hub on the East River. Visitors gather for views of the Manhattan skyline, particularly at sunset. The swimming area is actually a free, two-pool Olympic-size complex that has undergone significant renovations, shaking off an older, neglected reputation to become a clean, well-maintained summer hotspot. For land-based recreation, the grounds offer an excellent running track, playgrounds, trails, and busy bocce courts.
