Tapas Bar Near Me by Tokyo Station: BAR de ESPAÑA Muy's 30-Metre Counter
BAR de ESPAÑA Muy sits on the second floor of the Tokyo Building TOKIA at 2-7-3 Marunouchi, with a 30-metre counter facing the Yaesu skyline, a ¥1,800 weekday Rapido lunch, a ¥3,800 lunch course and ¥7,500 dinner courses built around paella.
BAR de ESPAÑA Muy has a 30-metre counter running along a glass wall on the second floor of the Tokyo Building TOKIA at 2-7-3 Marunouchi, about five minutes from the Marunouchi South exit of Tokyo Station by the underground passage. It opens every day, the weekday business lunch is ¥1,800, and at night the counter looks out over the Yaesu towers and the train lines. For a tapas bar near me around Tokyo Station, this is the big-window option.

The Counter and the View
The room is the reason to come. The ceiling is ten metres high, the counter is 30 metres long, and the whole outer wall is glass. In the daytime the light pours onto the counter; after dark the view takes in the office towers of Yaesu and the tracks where commuter trains and shinkansen slide past. The restaurant itself says the window seats with the night view are its most requested.
On the other side of the counter is an open kitchen, and the bar describes the sound of the cooks, the smell from the pans, the chat with staff and fairly up-tempo music as part of the experience. That makes Muy lively rather than intimate. There are 120 seats in total, split between the counter, tables, terrace seats and private rooms, but the venue does not take full private hire.
Who Runs It
Muy is operated by Granada Inc., a Tokyo restaurant company founded on 12 June 2000. Granada's other restaurants include MAZ, which kept two Michelin stars in the Tokyo 2025 guide, and CYCLE in Otemachi, produced by chef Mauro Colagreco, which opened in October 2023 and earned a star in the same guide. The Spanish bars are its casual line.
The company runs the Spanish concept under the BAR de ESPAÑA name in three places: Muy here in Marunouchi, a second Muy in Nagoya, and BAR de ESPAÑA Pero in Ginza. The Marunouchi kitchen leans on imported Spanish products: Spanish rice for the paella, Joselito Ibérico ham, which is often called the best producer in Spain, and cava and wines brought over from Spain.
Paella Is the Signature
The paella stock is made from seasonal seafood, and the bar calls the seafood paella its most popular dish, with the umami soaked into every grain of Spanish rice. Staff suggest eating it with the prawn ajillo. There are four versions on the courses: seafood, Valencian, squid ink, and a seafood fideuà made with short pasta in place of rice, which you choose when booking.
The restaurant also says it keeps a few off-menu dishes that are not printed anywhere, and you have to ask the staff what is available that night. Because paella takes time to cook, order it as soon as you sit down if you are eating à la carte, or book a course where it arrives as the finale after the tapas.
Dinner Courses at ¥7,500 and ¥9,500
The two dinner courses on TableCheck include tax and service. The Calle plan at ¥7,500 brings a plate of assorted ham, a curly kale salad, tapas of the day, Russian-style potato salad, tortilla, fried potatoes with bravas sauce, mushroom ajillo, bread and a paella of your choice. That is a full Spanish bar crawl on one table, and enough for most appetites.
The Puerta plan at ¥9,500 is the same menu with a meat dish of the day added before the paella. Honestly, unless your group is especially hungry or wants a proper main course, skip it and take the Calle plan; the extra ¥2,000 per head buys one plate. TableCheck puts the typical dinner spend at around ¥6,000, so ordering à la carte for two can come in under the course price.
Lunch for the Marunouchi Office Crowd
Lunch is built for the people working in the surrounding Marunouchi towers. The business lunch, called Rapido, is ¥1,800 including tax and service, and gives you the house mixed salad plus either the main of the day or paella. It is built for a one-hour break, and the counter makes it easy for solo diners. Weekday lunch runs from 11:30am to 3pm, with last orders at 2:30pm.
For a longer lunch, the Muy course is ¥3,800: curly kale salad, soup, baguette, tapas of the day, the meat dish of the day, seafood paella, dessert and coffee or tea. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays lunch opens earlier, at 11am, and runs until 3:30pm, which makes a late weekend lunch a calmer alternative to a busy Friday night.
Getting a Window Seat
Book through TableCheck or by phone, and ask for a window seat when you reserve, since the restaurant says those are its most popular. The restaurant pitches the counter for Marunouchi dates, birthdays and anniversaries, so expect couples along the glass and birthday plates coming out of the kitchen. If you are walking in rather than booking, come right at 5pm, when dinner service starts and the counter is still empty.
If Muy is full, its sister bar BAR de ESPAÑA Pero is in Ginza, one stop away on the Marunouchi line, and it is run by the same company. The other easy backup is simply to come back for lunch the next day, when the same window and the ¥1,800 Rapido set are much easier to get.
Walking Around Marunouchi
TOKIA is next to KITTE, the shopping building inside the former Tokyo Central Post Office, whose free rooftop garden looks straight down on the red-brick Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station. Before dinner, walk the Marunouchi Naka-dori avenue, lined with trees and boutiques, or head west for ten minutes to the moat and the walls of the Imperial Palace.
The station building itself is worth the detour. The red-brick Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station was designed by Tatsuno Kingo and opened in 1914, and its domes were rebuilt to their original shape in a restoration finished in 2012. At night the facade is lit, and the plaza in front of it, facing Gyoko-dori toward the palace, is one of the best free views in central Tokyo.
