Coral Gables Pet Boutique Open Sundays: Woof Gang Bakery

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Merrick Park, at 235 Altara Avenue in Coral Gables, is open Monday to Saturday 9 am to 7 pm and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. The store sells gourmet dog treats, food, toys and spa products, and the salon grooms by appointment, with small-dog baths starting at $45. The phone is 786-310-0445.

The store's location page calls it your neighborhood pet store at Merrick Park, with the street address 235 Altara Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida 33146. Coral Gables is the Mediterranean Revival city south of Downtown Miami, and this shop sits at Merrick Park in the heart of the city.

The retail shelves are described as nutritious pet treats and food, stylish essentials, fashionable accessories, a variety of toys and a wide range of doggie spa products. Treats are gourmet and all-natural, and the store keeps the bakery in its name. The page lists four product pillars: personalized, exclusive, gourmet treats and all-natural products. If you are shopping for a gift, treats and spa items are the easy yes.

Expect a brand store with a consistent range. The value is convenience: you can buy cookies, a toy and a bath product in the same trip as a grooming drop-off. For one-of-a-kind collars and handmade pieces, a single-owner boutique such as Dog Bar on Miami Beach is the better stop, and Barky Lounge in Edgewater is the choice for dog-only dry goods.

The salon lists four core services. A Full Groom includes a full-style haircut, a luxury bath with shampoo and conditioner, blow drying, brushing and styling, nail trimming and grinding, gentle ear cleansing, a sanitary trim and anal gland expression, and it ends with a stylish bandana and a spritz. A Mini Groom skips the full haircut for a trim of the face, paws, tail and ears. Luxury Bath and Classic Bath complete the menu.

Prices are posted by weight, and every figure is a starting price. For small dogs up to 20 lb, a bath starts at $45, a Mini Groom at $60 and a Full Groom at $75, and doodle, poodle and curly coats start at $95. For medium dogs of 21 to 40 lb, those figures rise to $55, $70, $85 and $105. Larger weight bands cost more, so call 786-310-0445 for your dog's size.

Extras are listed as walk-in nail trim and grind, nail painting, teeth brushing, de-matting, ear cleaning, hypoallergenic shampoo and flea and tick treatment. The page describes a dog-in, dog-out routine, with appointments designed to keep dogs separate, which reduces stress and waiting. Skip the salon on a no-appointment impulse, since the model is built around scheduled slots, and use the walk-in nail trim if you only need a quick clip.

The salon's promise is personalized, one-on-one attention in a calm environment, backed by strict safety protocols and a cleanliness standard the page calls the highest. Groomers are described as members of the family who treat each pet that way. Reviews on the page praise the speed of a groom, same-day availability and the fact that both groomers honor the appointment time they gave.

The store has also taken part in local events. In October 2025 it joined Florida's first Dog ATM celebration in Coral Gables, hosted by TD Bank, where the machine dispensed treats instead of cash. Woof Gang supplied custom dog cookies and an adopt-a-dog station run with the Humane Society of Greater Miami.

Sunday hours are shorter, 9 am to 5 pm, so a Sunday visit works best before lunch. Weekdays run until 7 pm, which gives commuters an evening window for treats and spa products. For grooming, ask when you call which appointment times are free. If you only want to shop, you can walk in during any store hour.

Plan B is simple. If the salon is full, Barky Lounge in Edgewater takes walk-in nail trims, and Dog Bar in Miami Beach is open seven days for food advice. For a Coral Gables outing, pair the stop with a short walk, and bring water for your dog.

Owners of small dogs get the clearest deal, because the posted starting prices begin at $45 for a bath. Doodle, poodle and curly coats start at $95 for small dogs, $20 above the standard $75 Full Groom, which reflects the extra coat work. If your dog is a doodle, call before booking and describe the coat, since a matted coat is the most common reason a quote changes.

The two grooms share the same bath, blow dry, brushing, nail trim and grind, ear cleansing and sanitary trim. The difference is the haircut. A Full Groom includes a full-style cut, while a Mini Groom only trims up the face, paws, tail and ears. If your dog's coat is short or already in shape, the Mini Groom costs $15 less for a small dog and $15 less for a medium dog.

The Classic Bath is the lightest option. It covers a soothing bath with shampoo and conditioner, gentle ear cleansing, hand and blow drying, full-body brushing and extra pampering. The salon also lists weight bands for extra large dogs of 76 to 100 lb and extra extra large dogs over 100 lb. Call 786-310-0445 for those prices, since the page lists every figure as a starting price.
