South Miami Pet Boutique Since 1986: Dog From Ipanema
Edgewater Pet Boutique With a Dog Bakery: Barky Lounge
Barky Lounge at 275 NE 18th St is open daily 9 am to 8 pm with free parking. The Edgewater pet shop bakes dog cookies and grooms one dog at a time.
Barky Lounge opens every day of the week, 9 am to 8 pm, at 275 NE 18th St in Miami's Edgewater neighborhood, and it pairs a dog grooming salon with a pet boutique and a small bakery counter. The lot out front is free, the entrance is wheelchair accessible, and the number to call or text is (786) 409-2885. The shop has been trading since September 2024 and sells for dogs only.
Where Edgewater Meets Midtown
The shop's contact page places it a few minutes from Downtown Miami, Midtown, Brickell and the Design District, which explains why dogs arrive from across the city. Free parking on site means no circling the block with a dog in the car. The address is 275 NE 18th St, Miami, Florida 33132, and the shop also lists free WiFi for people waiting during a groom.

The shop's founder, Jed Mef, describes the start in plain terms: long days, sleepless nights and handing out flyers around the neighborhood, until word of mouth took over. The About page says Barky Lounge opened in Edgewater in September 2024 with one belief, that caring about every dog would earn notice.
Twelve Categories on the Shelves
The pet store page lists twelve departments: food, treats, health and wellness, grooming supplies, bowls and feeders, toys, leashes and collars, cleaning and potty, travel and carriers, clothing, gift cards and owner gifts. Food runs from raw, canned and frozen to freeze-dried, air-dried and dehydrated, with puppy and senior options. The brands named include Stella & Chewy's, Primal, Orijen, Open Farm, Fromm, Farmina, Kong, Benebone, Zippy Paws and Chuckit!.
What sets the stock apart is who chose it. The page says everything on the shelves was picked by people who groom dogs every day, so if an item is wrong for your dog, the staff will say so. Clothing covers life vests, sweaters, pajamas, costumes, boots and bow ties. Travel gear includes carriers, car seats and strollers. A gift card works for grooming or for anything on the shelf.
The Barkery Counter
The bakery counter is the shop's most distinctive feature. Treats are baked in Edgewater instead of shipped from a warehouse, and the counter holds iced cookies in small, medium and large, plus treat donuts and seasonal shapes. Custom birthday cakes are made to order for a dog's birthday or gotcha day. Everything at the counter is made for dogs.
The counter changes from day to day, so the shop asks you to call or text (786) 409-2885 to hear what came out fresh. If a cake is the goal, order ahead rather than hoping for one on the shelf. Skip the bakery run if your dog is on an allergy diet, and ask first about ingredients, because the shop also stocks allergy diets and can point you to alternatives.
Grooming Prices and Walk-In Nails
Grooming here is one dog at a time, in a calm dedicated space with no other dogs on the table, and each groomer has more than seven years of experience. The Luxury Bath starts at $50, and the Full Groom starts at $70. The final price depends on your dog's size and coat, and the shop quotes the final figure at drop-off before any work starts.
Add-ons are priced separately: deshedding is $15 per 15 minutes, dematting is $30 per 30 minutes, a blueberry facial is $10 and a face trim is $15. Nail trims are the walk-in service, with no appointment needed whenever the team has space, and the site says most dogs need nails done every two to four weeks. A full groom is usually every four to six weeks.
Before you book, gather the details the contact page asks for. Size bands run from extra small under 6 lb to extra large 50 to 70 lb and extra extra large over 70 lb. The shop also needs your dog's coat type, last groom date, any matting and behavior notes. A current rabies vaccination record is required before grooming, so bring the paper or a clear photo.
What the Bath Page Says About Miami Coats
The bath service page makes a local point. Dogs that swim in the bay, visit the beach or spend time outdoors pick up salt, sand and chlorine, and a rinse after swimming is not the same as a full wash with shampoo. Short coats often take around an hour, while long and double coats take longer because of the drying. The shop calls or texts as soon as your dog is ready.
The Luxury Bath includes a tidy-up trim around the face, paws and sanitary area, but not a full body haircut. For that, book the Full Groom. The nail trimming page adds a safety note: if a nail is split, torn, bleeding or curling into the pad, or if your dog is limping, see your vet instead of waiting for a grooming appointment.
Delivery, Timing and a Plan B
Orders over $100 are delivered within one mile of the store, and you arrange it by calling or texting the shop. That is a small radius, so it suits Edgewater and nearby Midtown residents rather than the whole county. The shop says it replies to texts the same day during business hours, which makes text the fastest way to ask about the bakery or about an open grooming slot.
If the grooming table is full, a walk-in nail trim is the fastest way to get a foot in the door. For a second option, Woof Gang Bakery in Coral Gables lists a walk-in nail trim and grind, and Dog Bar on Miami Beach asks you to book grooming ahead by phone.
