Pet Boutique Since 1999 in Coconut Grove: Lovely Pets

Lovely Pets Grooming Salon & Boutique, at 2635 SW 27th Ave in Miami's Coconut Grove area, is open Tuesday to Saturday 8 am to 5 pm and closed Sunday and Monday. Walk-ins are welcome before 2 pm, and the phone is (305) 476-8980. A full groom starts at $85 for small and medium dogs and rises to $185 for giant breeds. The in-store boutique carries accessories, toys, treats and apparel.

The salon's homepage calls it a family-owned business that has served Miami since 1999. Luis and Neddy Salas founded it, and Luis is a certified veterinary assistant, so every groom is done with a trained eye for a dog's skin, ears and overall health. Many clients, the site says, have trusted the salon for generations.

The boutique is listed on the services page as in-store retail with accessories, toys, treats and apparel picked by the team for comfort, safety and style. Because the owners pick each item, you can ask the team why a product made the shelf.

The salon also runs an Amazon Associates storefront for pet care products, handy when you want to reorder something you saw in person. The boutique counter is the faster route, because the staff can explain a product directly. Pair a boutique purchase with a groom drop-off, since both happen at the same address and the same hours.

The FAQ gives the clearest price line on the site: a full groom starts at $85 for small and medium dogs and goes up to $185 for giant breeds. The final price depends on your dog's size, coat condition and behavior. A full groom here covers a bath, a full-body haircut and breed styling, plus ear cleaning, a nail trim, gland expression and a quick teeth brushing.

A bath-only visit uses premium shampoo, hand drying, ear cleaning and a nail trim, which keeps a dog fresh between haircuts. A dental cleaning is gentle brushing for cleaner teeth and fresher breath, which the salon describes as cosmetic and preventive, not a substitute for a vet. The services page lists all prices by size, so look at it before you book and match your dog's weight to the right column.

Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday before 2 pm. Nail trims with a Dremel or a file are walk-in, and so are quick ear cleaning, anal gland expression and sanitary trims. After 2 pm the team still tries to fit you in, depending on how busy the day is and on your dog's size, breed and age. To guarantee a time, book online or call.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Senior Dog Days. The environment is calm, older dogs get priority attention, and the salon calls you 20 minutes before pickup so older dogs wait as little as possible. For an older dog, that routine is worth planning around. A morning slot on a Tuesday suits a dog that tires easily, and a short wait reduces stress for an owner as well.

The salon picks up and drops off dogs at home Thursday through Saturday across most of Miami, including Coconut Grove and Coral Gables, and it offers weekly packages for regular clients. Pricing depends on distance and breed, so you call (305) 476-8980 for a quote. The site also describes a cage-free dog hotel, running since 2009, where dogs stay without crates and are cared for by the same team that grooms them.

Because the salon is closed Sunday and Monday, Sunday is the day to go elsewhere. Woof Gang Bakery in Coral Gables is open Sunday 9 am to 5 pm, and Dog Bar on Miami Beach opens every day. A dog that needs grooming early in the week can be booked for Tuesday morning, when the salon opens at 8 am.

The weekly pattern is easy to learn. Tuesday and Wednesday are Senior Dog Days with priority attention. Drop-in nails and express trims run Tuesday to Saturday until 2 pm. Pickup and delivery runs Thursday to Saturday, and the salon is closed Sunday and Monday. Match your dog to the day: an older dog on Tuesday, a quick nail trim any morning, and a home pickup late in the week.

The dog hotel is the newer service. The salon opened in 1999, and the cage-free hotel has run since 2009, with overnight stays and no crates. Dogs are cared for by the same team that grooms them, so a boarding dog arrives among familiar hands. Call (305) 476-8980 for rates and availability, because the hotel is a separate booking from a groom.

The homepage lists four standards. Each pet gets a separate, private, cage-free space during the visit. Styling stations and equipment are disinfected between every grooming. Towels are never reused from one pet to the next, and baths use clean, fresh water instead of recycled water. For owners of dogs with sensitive skin, those details are easy to ask about and easy to hold the salon to.

The express menu is built for quick visits. It lists nail Dremel or file, sanitary trim, anal gland expression, deep ear cleaning and a face trim for eye corners and visor, all offered as walk-ins. The salon says online booking takes under a minute. For a first visit, choose the express service you need, ask for the price at the counter and leave the full groom for a booked appointment.
