A daily pass costs $5 for Doral residents and $8 for non-residents, and it covers the indoor basketball and volleyball courts, the cardio deck and the fitness track. How the day pass works

The city publishes one rate sheet for the Legacy Park gymnasium. Adults pay $5 a day as Doral residents or $8 as non-residents. Seniors 55 and over pay $2 or $4. Youth under 17 who live in Doral play free with a valid Doral school ID, while non-resident youth pay $2 a day. Every rate includes the indoor basketball and volleyball courts, the cardio deck equipment and the fitness track, so a shootaround can turn into a full workout on the same ticket.

Regulars have two cheaper options. The monthly pass is $30 for residents and $45 for non-residents, and the yearly pass is $150 or $180. A non-resident who plays three times a week saves money on the monthly pass within the second week. The city sells memberships, multipasses and program registrations through its Amilia system, and the rate sheet notes that all sales are final and non-transferable.

The gym hours, and the hours to avoid

The gymnasium keeps the same hours as the community center: Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 9 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The weekday evening is the longest run of the week, with time for several games after work, and the 7:30 AM opening on weekdays suits anyone who wants to get shots up before work. On weekends the gym closes at 5 PM, so a Saturday run has to happen in daylight.

Two blocks deserve care. The city's adult basketball league plays on two courts every hour, with games on Wednesday nights at 6:50 PM and 7:50 PM and on Sunday mornings starting at 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM, according to its league page. Teams pay $500 to enter. If you want open play rather than watching refereed games, aim for Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening, or a Saturday.

A park built in 2017

Doral Legacy Park opened on Saturday, August 12, 2017, with a ribbon cutting, a plaque unveiling and a free barbecue. The city's announcement called it Doral's seventh park, an 18-acre site at NW 82nd Street and 114th Avenue, and singled out the indoor gymnasium with its exercise track as the centerpiece. Parking was limited enough that the city ran a trolley from nearby Ronald W. Reagan/Doral High School on opening day.

The exercise track is part of the same day pass, which makes the gym a good choice for mixed groups: one person can walk or jog laps while another plays. The county tourism bureau describes the building as a two-story recreation center with an indoor basketball court and exercise track, set in a park with multiple tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.

Outside, in the rest of the park

The outdoor courts are the fallback when league games take the gym. The park lists basketball courts, tennis courts and pickleball courts outdoors, plus a playground and a splash pad for families who brought kids along. The park itself is open Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 9 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 9 PM, so on a Saturday the outdoor courts stay usable for hours after the gym closes at 5 PM. Note one rule that surprises people: pets are not permitted anywhere at this facility.

The event hall in the same building hosts senior programs and community meetings, including Silver Club bingo nights, and on November 14, 2026 it hosts a G20 Community Town Hall. The G20 Leaders' Summit itself comes to Trump National Doral on December 14 and 15, 2026, and the city expects temporary security measures and traffic adjustments around the venue, so December visits may take longer to reach.

Honest notes

My honest take: for a non-resident, $8 a day is a fair price, cheaper than the $11 non-resident entrance at the Miami Beach youth centers, and the real value is the length of the weekday hours. Skip Sunday morning if you only want pickup, because the league schedule claims the early slots. If league games fill both indoor courts on a Wednesday night, walk out to the park's outdoor basketball courts rather than paying to watch.

Youth players are the other big group here. Doral students under 17 play free with a valid Doral school ID, on the daily, monthly and yearly rates alike, so expect plenty of teenagers on weekday afternoons once school lets out. Adults who want a run with fewer kids around can aim for the first hours after the 7:30 AM opening or for the later evening games.

Practical notes

Where: Doral Legacy Park community center gym, 11400 NW 82nd St, Doral, FL 33178, at NW 114th Avenue. Phone: (305) 341-3601. Gym hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 9 PM; Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM. Day pass: $5 residents, $8 non-residents; seniors $2 or $4; Doral youth free with school ID, non-resident youth $2. Monthly $30 or $45; yearly $150 or $180.

The city describes the park as covering more than 18 acres in the section 7 area of Doral, at the corner of NW 82nd Street and NW 114th Avenue. Bring a ball and indoor shoes, plus your Doral school ID if you are a student claiming the free youth rate. There is on-site parking at the park, and on the 2017 opening day the city had to add overflow parking at the high school nearby, so arrive a few minutes early on busy nights. Passes, memberships and multipasses are sold through the city's Amilia registration system, and all sales are final. Leave dogs at home, since pets are not allowed in the park.
