A Sunny Isles Beach Lagree Fitness Studio: Lagree Miami

Lagree Miami, upstairs at 17100 Collins Ave in Sunny Isles Beach, opens its fall season with three intro classes for $75 and a $42 single drop-in class.

Sunny Isles Beach is better known for oceanfront condo towers than for boutique fitness, which is part of what makes Lagree Miami stand out. The studio occupies Suite 205 at 17100 Collins Ave, on the second floor above a Starbucks, a few minutes from the sand. It is the only Lagree Miami studio open today, with Bay Harbor Islands and North Miami Beach listed as coming soon, so for now every class, private session and studio buyout runs out of this one room on Collins.

The owners and how they found the method

Lagree Miami is run by co-owners Shira and Reut. Their About page says they trained for years across many studios and workout styles before they tried Lagree, and that it was the most transformative method they had experienced. Shira took the commitment further by completing her instructor training in Hawaii, studying the form, tempo and technical standards that separate a true Lagree class from a reformer workout with faster music.

The pair describe opening in South Florida as a conviction rather than a business plan, and the studio's tone reflects it. The site promises clear cues, real corrections and coaching that holds clients to the standard for form. It also leans on a little attitude, with a line declaring that Miami does not do cute workouts, which fits a method built around slow, punishing reps that leave every muscle shaking.

The coaches on the Collins Avenue schedule

Brittany Love brings the widest resume. She is a Lagree Level 2 instructor and a Barre Above Master Instructor, holds StrongFirst kettlebell and barbell certifications, and has coached cycling and holistic health. Her classes are described as athletic and fluid, with a focus on clean transitions. Sylvie comes from professional dance and lists two signature moves, the giant reverse wheelbarrow with a push-up and the catfish floating push-up.

Hannah found Lagree in 2020, became certified in 2022, and teaches sweaty, accessible classes built around alignment; outside the studio she cooks vegan food, rides horses and walks her dog, Scout. Nadine has more than four years of coaching behind her and a little under a year specializing in Lagree, and she is the one to book if a strong playlist matters as much as the burn. Booking runs through the Lagree Miami app.

Fall intro offers for new clients

The studio launched new fall pricing with two starter options. A 3 Class Pack is $75 and a 5 Class Pack is $99, each for new clients only and purchasable once. The five-class option is the better value, since the regular drop-in rate is $42 per class, and five sessions inside a few weeks is usually enough to learn the stations and stop fighting the moving carriage.

Lagree is not a gentle start. The studio describes it as high intensity and low impact, with slow, intentional reps where shaking is a sign the work is happening. Expect lunges on a sliding carriage, long planks and core sequences that rarely pause. Arrive early for a first visit so a coach can walk you through the springs and handles before class, and expect soreness the next day.

The studio's own explainer sets Lagree against two familiar alternatives. Compared with Pilates, it claims higher intensity and faster physical adaptation, because there is little rest between moves. Compared with lifting, it argues that spring resistance on variable-resistance machines puts a safer load on joints than static weights, which is why the method draws runners, former dancers and people working around old injuries.

Packs and memberships after the intro

Regulars can stay flexible or commit. The $42 drop-in is valid for six months. The Fall Flex 10 is a limited-time pack of 10 classes for $250, and the Fall Flex 15 gives 15 classes for $399, neither with a recurring charge. Those packs suit snowbirds and part-time residents who split the year between Sunny Isles and somewhere colder.

Monthly memberships run on a three-month minimum and start on the first visit. Eight classes a month are $248 and ten are $328. Unlimited costs $318 a month on the three-month commitment or $350 with no commitment. Every membership includes Member Status, which means booking classes seven days before non-members, 10 percent off retail and one guest pass each month, and members are limited to one booking per day.

Privates, couples and studio buyouts

Private training is a big part of the business here. One-on-one sessions can be tailored to injuries, specific goals or form refinement, and the studio says they suit beginners as well as experienced Lagree clients. A Private Session for Two runs 50 minutes for a pair with one instructor, its passes expire three months after purchase, and the studio pitches it for couples and celebrations.

For larger groups, the studio offers private classes of up to 12 clients for friends, birthdays, corporate wellness days and nonprofit events. All private, semi-private and group sessions are booked by request through the contact form, and package pricing for recurring privates is quoted during scheduling. Gift cards come in any amount and can be used for classes, packs or privates.

Before and after class on Collins

The studio is on the second floor, so look for the stairs beside the coffee shop rather than a street-level fitness entrance. That Starbucks downstairs is the natural meeting point for friends splitting a pack, and it makes a post-class coffee almost automatic. Collins Avenue traffic is steady through the morning, so allow a few extra minutes if you are driving up from Aventura or Bal Harbour.

For a cool-down with a view, walk to the beach behind the oceanfront towers and head south along the sand to the Newport Fishing Pier, which stretches out over the Atlantic and is a good place to watch the morning light on the water. Bring sunscreen and a hat if you plan to stay, since the beach has little shade by midmorning.
