Lagree Fitness Studio on San Vicente: Megaformer Brentwood

Megaformer Brentwood, upstairs at 11677 San Vicente Blvd, fits 32 machines into one room and adds a 50-minute Abs + Ass class to its Lagree schedule.

Most Lagree rooms in Los Angeles hold somewhere between 10 and 18 machines. Megaformer Brentwood, on the second floor of the Brentwood Gardens complex at 11677 San Vicente Blvd, runs 32 of them in a single classroom, more than double the 15-machine room at the company's Studio City branch. That scale changes the experience: the weekday 6:10 am class can feel like a small army moving through lunges in unison, and it is far easier to get a spot here on short notice than at the brand's smaller studios.

The building and the room upstairs

The studio sits on the upper level of Brentwood Gardens, a shopping center on San Vicente, so look for the way up from the courtyard rather than a street-front door. The classroom is a long, bright space with the machines arranged in tight rows facing the instructor's platform. With 32 carriages, coaches walk the aisles constantly and lean on clear verbal cues, so it helps to pick a machine in the first two rows on your first visit.

The Megaformer is the machine Sebastien Lagree designed, and the company calls it the original machine behind the method. Each one has a sliding carriage, springs underneath that set the load, platforms at both ends and front and back handlebars. The studio's FAQ insists Lagree is not Pilates. There is no resting between moves, and the slow tempo is meant to take muscles to fatigue, so even a fit runner should expect to shake by the second lunge series.

Two class formats, and when they run

Unlike the Studio City and Santa Monica schedules, Brentwood mixes in a second format. Alongside the signature 50-minute Full Body Megaformer session, a class called Abs + Ass runs at 11:00 am on weekdays, and the description on the schedule is short: all about the booty and abs. It uses the same machine and the same 50 minutes, but the sequence spends most of its time on glutes, obliques and long planks.

The weekday schedule is built around odd start times that leave a five-minute turnover between classes: 6:10 am, 7:15 am, 8:20 am and 9:30 am in the morning, then 4:25 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:35 pm in the evening. Friday adds a noon class and drops the 6:35 pm slot. Saturday runs from 8:00 am to a 12:15 pm finale, and Sunday follows a similar late-morning pattern. With 32 spots, even the 7:15 am class usually has a machine open the night before.

Instructors on the Brentwood schedule

Caitlin, listed as a Master Trainer, carries a large share of the weekday mornings. Alfredo grew up on the border between Mexico and the United States, moved to Los Angeles in 2014, and teaches to Latin and pop hits; his bio notes that he once raised more than $5,000 to ride the AIDS/LifeCycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Kelly taught power yoga before switching to Lagree after having three children, and her bio promises a serious burn and nonstop motivation.

Georgia, a former college athlete, has taught the method since May 2024. Taylor holds a kinesiology degree from Indiana University and found Lagree while rehabbing a dance-related back injury, which makes her a good pick for anyone coming back from a setback. Becks rounds out the early classes with high-energy coaching. Bookings reserve a time slot rather than a teacher, so check the app the evening before if you are chasing a particular instructor.

Prices from the Brentwood buy page

New clients choose between a 3 Class Pack Intro for $59, which expires 30 days after purchase, and a 2 Week Unlimited for $99, paid once and limited to one class per day. After the intro, a single class at Brentwood is $42 with no expiration date. The 5 pack is $180, the 10 pack is $330 and the 20 pack is $560, and the 10 and 20 packs can be shared with guests, which is handy for couples.

Members have more options here than at most studios. Month-to-month unlimited is $350, unlimited on a six-month commitment is $299 and a twelve-month commitment brings it to $269. The 8-class month-to-month plan is $230 and the 12-class version is $315. At the desk, bottled water is $4, a can of Celsius is $3.85, and tall grip socks are $13 if you forget your own.

Arrival, cancellations and the waitlist

First-timers should be in the room at least 10 minutes early for a machine introduction, and the company FAQ suggests up to 15. A newcomer who arrives after the start is not let in. Regulars are expected five minutes before class, and anyone more than five minutes late is turned away and charged as a late cancellation. Bring grip socks, since plain socks and bare feet are not permitted, and a non-glass water bottle.

The cancellation line is 12 hours. Cancel earlier and the credit returns to your account; cancel later and packs lose the class while memberships also pay $20 for a late cancel or $25 for a no-show. ClassPass bookings are honored but must be changed through ClassPass. There are cubbies for bags but no showers, so plan on going home or to the office before brunch. Clients have to be at least 16.

Parking and the San Vicente stretch

Parking is simple by Westside standards. The location page lists the Brentwood Gardens garage in the same complex at $4 for the first 90 minutes, which covers a 50-minute class with time to spare, plus metered and neighborhood street parking around the block. The garage is the better bet before 8:00 am and on weekends when San Vicente's curb spaces fill with brunch traffic.

Step outside afterward and you are on the best stretch of San Vicente Boulevard. The wide grass median shaded by coral trees runs west toward Santa Monica and is a favorite path for runners and walkers, a natural cool-down for legs that just finished a lunge series. A short drive or a longer walk west brings you to the Brentwood Country Mart, the red barn-style market with a courtyard of cafes and small shops.
