Two ABC Dining Rooms One Block Apart, Compared

ABC Cocina and ABC Kitchen sit one block apart under Jean-Georges, with two menus and two very different rooms.

Choose by menu, not address.

📍 One Block, Two Rooms

🌮 ABC Cocina, the Latin Side

The room at 38 East 19th is built around sharing: family-style appetizers paired with individual entrees, fresh salsas and a varied vegan and vegetarian selection. Plates arrive small and the drinks are priced high, so the menu rewards ordering wide rather than deep. It opens at noon Wednesday to Friday and at four on Monday and Tuesday, then runs to ten every night.

🌾 ABC Kitchen, the Farm Side

At 35 East 18th the kitchen has run on a large network of local farmers and purveyors, serving organic farm-to-table dishes in a warm rustic room. Guests praise the service and the execution, and some report uneven value across the menu. Weekday lunch runs to 4:30 and dinner starts at five, with weekend brunch from eleven.

🔁 Which One to Book

Take the Latin room for a table that wants to order eight things and argue about which one wins. Take the farm room for a quieter dinner where one plate each is the point. Both sit steps from Broadway. The four o’clock seat is the easier one on any night of the week.
