Originally constructed in 1928 for Olson Rugs and later used as a Marshall Field's warehouse, the property has transitioned into a major film and television production hub for the Midwest. Beyond its purpose-built sound stages and flexible production offices, the site integrates residential lofts, retail, and event space. Its expansive layout also accommodates pop-up immersive art exhibits—such as tech- and effect-focused events like the Balloon Museum—that leverage the massive industrial volume for large-scale creative installations.
