Salvaged Sugar Cranes Frame A Williamsburg Waterfront
Stroll a waterside park built on the old Domino Sugar site, where salvaged refinery gear frames the East River and skyline.
🏭 The refinery relics
Domino Park runs a quarter mile along the East River on the footprint of the old Domino Sugar Refinery, and salvaged tanks, screw conveyors, and gantry cranes stand along the path as industrial artifacts. An elevated walkway threads between the original crane columns above the lawn. Benches face west toward the Williamsburg Bridge and the Manhattan skyline, and the light turns gold across the water near closing. A taco counter, bocce courts, a dog run, and a sculptural fountain fill the rest of the strip. Rated 4.8 across more than six thousand reviews, it draws steady weekend crowds.
