Description
Moored at Berth 52 in San Pedro, the ship is maintained as a floating museum by the States Merchant Marine Veterans of World War II after having served in three wars. Preserved as a National Historic Landmark, it opens nearly every deck to self-guided exploration, leading through the radio room, cargo holds, gun decks, and exhibits tracing naval and merchant marine history. When not welcoming visitors, the vessel doubles as a filming location and event venue hosting over 150 gatherings annually.
