California Science Center

Free California Science Center in Exposition Park: a giant kelp forest tank, the free GAME ON! sports lab (final entry 2:15 p.m., closes 3 p.m.), and IMAX films on a seven-story screen plus some special exhibitions that need paid tickets. Space shuttle Endeavour returns on November 13, 2026, standing upright in launch position in the new Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, the only complete Space Shuttle System on view; that hall is free too, with timed reservations strongly encouraged, 4 dollars a person and waived for members. Endeavour is off display until then. Core galleries, including Ecosystems, the Island Zone and Life!, need no reservation. Parking is 20 dollars before 5 p.m. and 24 dollars after.
