Mount Loretto Unique Area

Beyond the shoreline, the preserve spans forests and grasslands, including the 18-acre Butler Manor Woods wetland area. Walkers can choose between accessible paved trails and unpaved paths that are harder to manage. The diverse habitats host migrating birds, turtles, and groundhogs. The trails are generally short and easy enough for dogs and children, though swimming at the beach is not allowed.
