Manhattan Modern Chinese Plates in the Former Limelight Space
Share short rib bao buns and crispy lobster bites, then book private dining for groups up to 500 guests.
🥢 Bao Buns and an Artful Setting
Jue Lan Club takes over the former Limelight space at 49 W 20th St, pairing modern Chinese cooking with a dimly lit, art inspired setting. Elegant decor gives the meal a polished backdrop, while the mood leans intimate. The name reaches back to the 1930s Shanghai avant garde Jue Lan Society, an artistic reference that carries through to the atmosphere.
The kitchen specializes in large, shareable portions. Start an order with short rib bao buns and crispy lobster bites, then consider dumplings or steak as the table fills out. There is a dim sum thread to the menu, too, alongside the broader Asian fusion approach.
A multiroom layout accommodates up to 500 guests. Private dining and event space are part of the offering. Doors open daily from noon to 11 PM, giving you an afternoon window as well as an evening one.
