🌽 Roots Across Regions

Turn dinner at 500 Presidio Avenue into an evening ritual at Maria Isabel. The San Francisco restaurant pays homage to family roots in Guerrero and Sinaloa, giving the meal a distinctly regional Mexican starting point. An intimate dining setting puts a shared meal at the center of the evening.

The tasting menu puts regional ingredients in focus, with heirloom corn from Oaxaca and chocolate from Chiapas. Coastal California seafood brings another coastline into the cooking, alongside seasonal harvests from local growers. Traditional cooking techniques connect those local harvests with the regional heritage at the heart of this kitchen. Artisanal mezcals extend the focus beyond the food.

Service runs Tuesday to Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM, with Sunday and Monday closed. Reservations are available through the restaurant website. Private dining and group meals are also available for occasions that call for gathering around one table.
