🏃 Fifty Runnings by the Common

The Boston 10K for Women held its 50th edition on Saturday, October 10, 2026, starting and finishing on Charles Street between the Public Garden and Boston Common. More than 7,000 women ran the out-and-back course through the Back Bay and along Memorial Drive. Rachael Rudel of Colorado won in 31:12, the second-fastest time in race history, and six women from the first race in 1977 finished for the 50th straight time. The event began that year as the Bonne Bell Mini Marathon.

The Common stays open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with the Parkman Bandstand and Frog Pond inside its nearly 50 acres.
