Horror Classics With Dinner at Your Seat in Bushwick

Three horror films, two nights, one room where dinner comes to the seat. I matched each one to a late bar nearby.

Pick a night and book a seat.

🐺 Thursday 6:35 PM, American Werewolf

Thursday is the easy night. An American Werewolf in London is a horror comedy, 97 minutes, and it won Best Makeup at the 1982 Academy Awards, which still shows in the transformation scene. You're out just after 8:10 PM. One rule worth knowing, unused seats go to the standby line five minutes after showtime, and tickets are not refundable.

👻 Friday 6 PM, Kwaidan

Friday's early show is the long one. Kwaidan is Masaki Kobayashi's set of four Japanese ghost stories taken from old folk tales, and it runs 183 minutes, ending just after 9:00 PM. I'd skip dinner beforehand. Food and drinks come to the seat during the film, and three hours leaves plenty of room to order twice.

🔪 Friday 9:50 PM, The Strangers

This is the one I'd build a late night around. The Strangers is a lean home-invasion thriller, 86 minutes, a couple alone in a vacation house and three unknown attackers outside. It lets out after 11:15 PM, the Syndicated bar stays open until 2:00 AM on Fridays, and the kitchen takes orders until 1:00 AM. The three bars below all run until at least 2:00 AM too.
