Lower Manhattan Galician Tapas and Seafood on Grand Street
Order croquettes and cod-stuffed piquillo peppers at the front bar, then move back to the open kitchen room.
🐚 Northwest Coast On The Menu
Tomiño Taberna Gallega is at 192 Grand Street in Lower Manhattan, where the culinary heritage from the northwest coast of Spain informs a menu of Galician tapas and seafood. Brothers Marco, Victor, and Phil blend time honored recipes with contemporary flair, alongside consulting chef Lucia Freitas. That regional focus comes through in the classic tapas list, which names croquettes, pan con tomate, and chorizo piquillo peppers stuffed with cod. Substantial rice dishes give the menu another direction, with seafood also part of the selection. The room is arranged in two parts, a wood accented barroom with street facing doors and a fresh seafood case, followed by a rear dining area featuring Spanish pottery and an open kitchen. Wine and cocktails round out the taberna bar offerings. Monday through Saturday, service runs from noon to 10 PM, while Sunday service runs from noon to 9 PM.
