La Cantine opens as a small luncheonette, with breakfast, coffee, baked goods, and inventive dishes. The daytime menu leans French inspired, then the evening shift becomes a bistro named Sunsets, with fresh food and specialty drinks such as lychee rosewater hibiscus iced tea.
Find it at 60 St Nicholas Avenue in Bushwick. After dark, the same space doubles as a natural wine bar, pouring glasses alongside the bistro plates and turning a morning coffee stop into a place to linger over dinner.
Every day runs from 9 AM to 4 PM. Dinner returns from 6 PM to 10 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday, and from 6 PM to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday, while Tuesday and Wednesday stay daytime only. During warmer spring and summer months, outdoor seating is available, adding a seasonal second setting for a long lunch or an evening glass.
