From Pine Street, walk about nine minutes south to One World Observatory at 117 West Street. The observatory occupies floors 100 through 102, with an elevator sequence, a theater, a city pulse ring, and wide views that reach the rivers and Statue of Liberty. Plan 75 minutes and book timed admission, especially for sunset. The payoff is a sharp change in scale, from a room built for a young republic to a glassy panorama above the whole harbor. It stays open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM.
