Culture Lab LIC Halloween: A Family Trunk-or-Treat
Families walk a parking lot of decorated trunks for candy, then stay for magic, face painting and pumpkins at Culture Lab LIC.
🎃 What You're Walking Into
🚗 How the Trunk Line Works
Officially, you wander through a parking lot full of decorated trunks, where local families, vendors and staff hand out candy in what the organizers call the safest and most festive way possible. Every little ghoul and goblin gets a treat bag to fill. Families who decorate a trunk and take part come in free; call (718) 433-4007 to register a vehicle.
🎨 Magic, Paint and Pumpkins
Alongside the candy, the festival runs a magic show, face painting and pumpkin decorating. The organizers put pumpkin decorating simply: get creative and take home your very own masterpiece, so plan on carrying a finished pumpkin out with you. Local vendors set up a marketplace of treats, crafts and seasonal finds. No start time is posted for the magic show, so confirm it at the entrance when you arrive.
💵 Price, Timing and Getting There
General admission is 25 dollars per family, donated at the event entrance or through the Make-A-Wish page the organizers link; all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish.
