Description

Devoted solely to the American abstract expressionist, the museum holds roughly 93 to 95 percent of the artist's lifetime output, spanning over 3,000 works created between 1920 and 1980. Only a small fraction of these pieces is displayed at any time. The works are arranged in chronological order across two levels of daylight-lit galleries, tracing Still's evolution in style and subject alongside biographical display cases. Designed by Allied Works Architecture, the award-winning building features poured-in-place concrete construction whose textures are showcased through simple presentation.
