Designed by Joseph-François Mangin and completed in 1815, this Neo-Gothic landmark in Nolita offers a distinct change of scale from Midtown's cathedral. Guided walks lead through the underground catacombs under a candlelight setting, sharing stories of early New York and its Catholic roots. Inside, the sanctuary features a historic Henry Erban pipe organ. While the subterranean chambers are modernly updated, the experience centers on historical context rather than elaborate crypt masonry.
