An Atlantic Boardwalk Where Brooklyn Comes To Play
Miles of oceanfront boardwalk, a public beach, and century-old rides run along the Atlantic edge of southern Brooklyn.
🎡 The people's playground
The Riegelmann Boardwalk runs for miles along the sand, wide enough for cyclists, joggers, and slow strollers sharing the Atlantic breeze. Behind it, the Wonder Wheel turns over Luna Park while the wooden Cyclone rattles above the crowd. The stretch stays open and free to walk from morning swims to the last pink light over the water, and the beach fills with blankets on warm weekends. Nathan's hot dogs, fresh clams, and soft-serve line the ramps, and the Parachute Jump glows red after dark above southern Brooklyn.
