Follow painted facades and school mosaics around 18th Street and Ashland Avenue.

Take a walk through Pilsen.

🧩 Stories Across The Walls

Pilsen Murals unfolds around 18th Street and Ashland Avenue, turning a neighborhood walk into a closer encounter with public art on foot. Painted building facades carry stories into the street, while glass mosaics extend the route onto local school grounds. Set aside time to follow the art across the area, beyond a single wall.

On South Ashland Avenue, Jeff Zimmerman brings the immigrant experience into Increíbles Las Cosas Q Se Ven, including the lives of people who are undocumented. Pause with that work before continuing toward Cooper Dual Language Academy for its mosaics. At Orozco Community Academy, Francisco Mendoza works in glass tile, adding another medium to the walk.

The grounds are open daily from 6 AM to 11 PM. Choose an early start or a later wander within that window, with 1900 S Ashland Ave as the address to keep handy.
