Description
Anchored around 18th St and Ashland Ave, the route traces public art across building facades and local school grounds. On South Ashland Avenue at 19th Street, Jeff Zimmermann's mural "Increíbles Las Cosas Q’ Se Ven" presents scenes speaking directly to the immigrant experience, including those who are undocumented. Half a block west, the walk also takes in Francisco Mendoza's glass-tile mosaics on the north facade of Cooper Dual Language Academy (formerly Orozco Academy), on W 18th Place.
