A Hazelwood Park Date With Unpaved Paths

Stroll together before dinner for a low key Portland evening that starts outside.

Start with a walk together.

🧺 Picnic Before Dinner

Start date night with a walk at Cherry Blossom Park, a compact green space in Hazelwood. At 0.96 acres, it makes a small scale choice for two people who want to spend part of the evening outdoors. Put a neighborhood pause ahead of dinner and give the conversation a little room.

The unpaved walking paths call for shoes you are happy taking off the sidewalk. Picnic tables give you somewhere to sit with a snack you have brought along. Pack something to share and make that your first stop together. This is a date you can build around walking and talking, with the sit down part ready whenever you feel like slowing the pace.

The city acquired the park in 1995. Find it at 9801 SE Harrison Street, by SE 98th Avenue. It is open daily from 5 AM to midnight.
