⚓ Bistro Plates, Maritime Spirit

Sailor is a cozy Fort Greene bistro from April Bloomfield, with a burger and ship cabin charm. Wood paneled walls and deep blue accents carry the maritime motif. The relaxed pace leaves room to linger.

The kitchen serves saucy Turkish eggs and French toast at brunch. Deviled eggs also join the table, along with a Caesar salad with a sharp, acidic dressing rather than a creamy finish. Plates are easily shared. The restaurant is part of the Happy Cooking hospitality group.

At 228 DeKalb Avenue, Sailor opens Monday and Tuesday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Wednesday from half past eleven AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 10 PM, Thursday from half past eleven AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to half past ten PM, Friday from half past eleven AM to half past ten PM, Saturday from 10 AM to half past ten PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM.
