Pole Fitness Near Me in Itabashi: Studio Lycoris and Its ¥500 Trial
Pole & Fitness Studio Lycoris teaches pole, mallakhamb and stretching at 1-9-9 Minami-Tokiwadai, Itabashi, eight minutes from Naka-Itabashi Station. Its monthly trial costs ¥500, and member classes start at ¥3,000.
Pole & Fitness Studio Lycoris charges ¥500 for its pole trial, a 55-minute class held once a month that members and non-members can both take as often as they like. The studio is at 1-9-9 Minami-Tokiwadai, Itabashi-ku, unit 1F-B of the Minami-Tokiwadai Heim, an eight-minute walk from Naka-Itabashi or Tokiwadai station on the Tobu Tojo Line, about seven minutes from Ikebukuro. For a pole fitness near me search in north-west Tokyo, the next trial is on Sunday 29 November at 4:45pm.

Finding the Door Behind My Basket
Lycoris shares its building with a My Basket mini-supermarket on Kawagoe-kaido. Stand facing the shop and take the narrow passage on its right. The studio is at the very end. From Naka-Itabashi, leave by the south exit, turn right at the Naka-Itabashi-eki-iriguchi lights, cross the bridge, follow the river left, and turn right at the Subaru car dealer.
From Tokiwadai, take the north exit, cross the railway, and walk south through the shopping street until you hit Kawagoe-kaido. Turn left, cross the big Itabashi Chuo overpass junction, and the building is right in front of the next overpass. A Seven-Eleven sits across the road if you need water or a snack.
A Small Room With Serious Coaches
The dance area is about 72 square metres, with a 3.24-metre ceiling and five permanent X-Poles that switch between static and spinning. There are thick crash mats, movable mirrors, yoga mats, blocks and foam rollers, plus an aerial rigging point. There is a changing room but no shower. The studio suggests the public bath near the station instead.
The homepage advertises lessons from world-champion instructors, and its talent agency, Ricopro, says it represents a world pair pole champion. Members of the studio have also represented Japan at the World Pole & Aerial Championships 2026, according to its news section. Four instructors, Keiko, Ayano, Kanako and Yamadori, also coach a special course for competition athletes.
Mallakhamb, Only Here
Lycoris is one of the few places in Tokyo where you can try mallakhamb, the Indian sport of yoga poses and acrobatics on a wooden pole or a hanging rope. Keiko trained in India and won the mallakhamb category at the first Mallakhamb World Cup in 2019, according to her class description.
Pole Mallakhamb runs on the first Friday of the month at 7:30pm and costs ¥6,000 for members, ¥7,000 for non-members. Rope Mallakhamb follows at 9pm for ¥4,000 or ¥5,000. On the same weeknight schedule, Keiko also teaches Fairy Pole, an all-levels class about floating tricks and transitions, and LOVE! Pole Muscle, which she calls a pure strength workout.
Prices and How to Join
Joining costs ¥5,000, done in person at reception, where you get a membership card. Two campaigns cut it to ¥3,000: being introduced by a current member, or following the studio's LINE, Instagram or X account, or sharing a post. Beginner pole plus stretching costs ¥3,000 for members and ¥4,000 for non-members, and most 75-minute classes are ¥4,000 or ¥5,000.
Our honest take: the ¥500 trial is the bargain, but because it runs only once a month, do not wait for it if you are ready to start. Book a Sunday Pole Basics plus Stretch class at 1:45pm instead and pay the non-member rate, then join if you like it.
The Weekly Rhythm
Mondays are busiest: Pole Basics plus Stretch at 11:15am, kids' pole at 6:15pm, Pole Elementary plus Stretch at 7:30pm, and on the first and third Monday, Ayano's heels class, Salon de AYANO, at 8:45pm. Wednesday evenings belong to Keiko. Sundays start with Yamadori's trick class at 12:15pm, built for anyone stuck on a move seen in a video.
Monthly extras fill the gaps. Kami runs a two-hour gentle ballet class, the next on 15 November, and a two-hour deep stretch class on 1 November, both ¥5,000 for members. Kanako teaches an isolation workshop on 28 November for ¥3,500. Yamadori is off on 25 and 26 October and 1 and 2 November, so those classes are cancelled.
Practice Time and Rentals
Members can book free pole, one pole each, for ¥1,200 an hour, or buy a ten-hour ticket for ¥10,000 that lasts a month. Free pole runs outside lesson times on weekdays and from noon to 7pm at weekends. Aerial practice is not allowed during free pole, because the rigging point sits close to the poles.
The whole room rents for ¥4,000 an hour if the person booking is a member, with weekday daytime packs at ¥5,000 for two hours. Cancelling three days to one day before costs half, and same-day cancellations are charged in full. Alcohol is banned, and outdoor shoes stay off the floor.
What to Wear and Who Comes
Bring shorts that show your thighs and a tank top or camisole, and take off jewellery before class. Lessons are barefoot. Rental wear costs ¥300. Men can take classes, but the studio does not allow men on their own to watch a class; parents of any gender can watch their children's lessons.
The kids' class takes children up to the sixth year of primary school, and the studio runs occasional student shows. The next, Lycoris Radiata vol. 18, is on Saturday 21 November 2026, and both audience bookings and performer sign-ups are open.
Ikebukuro Is One Stop Away
Tokiwadai is a quiet residential area with a long shopping street between the station and Kawagoe-kaido, good for a coffee or groceries after class. Ikebukuro, with its department stores and late-night food, is seven minutes back on the Tobu Tojo Line.
If the once-a-month trial date does not suit you and you want a central studio, eyecandy in Akihabara runs 30-minute trials several times a week. The Lycoris studio itself is open from 9am to 10pm, but staff are not always there, so message before turning up outside class times.
