Pole Fitness Near Me in Aoyama: Ryota's POWER SPOT Salon Above Gaien-mae
POWER SPOT AOYAMA TOKYO, run by world pole champion Ryota, fills the third floor of the MR Building at 3-2-2 Minami-Aoyama. Trial lessons cost ¥2,000, and monthly plans start at ¥16,000 for four classes.
POWER SPOT AOYAMA TOKYO occupies the third floor of the MR Building at 3-2-2 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, three minutes from Exit 1a of Gaien-mae Station on the Ginza Line and seven minutes from Exit A4 of Omotesando. Your first regular class costs ¥2,000, and only once, before you join. For a pole fitness near me search in Aoyama, this is the studio founded by Ryota, one of the best-known male pole dancers in Japan.

Why a Champion Opened a Salon
Ryota's studio profile lists a 2020 win at the MR. POLE DANCE world competition, a professional title at The Crown On the Pole Championship in 2018, and back-to-back men's wins at POLE KING JAPAN in 2014 and 2015. He has appeared on TBS's documentary series Jonetsu Tairiku, and has performed in music videos for Ringo Sheena, Hikaru Utada and BoA.
In the founder's message, he writes that he met pole eleven years before opening, and that the pandemic, which emptied stages for performers, pushed him to build a place where people could gather safely and train. The studio marked its fifth anniversary in August 2026 by sending members two ¥1,000 coupons, valid until 30 September.
Three Rooms With Morning Light
The salon is calmer than most pole studios. You step out of the lift into a lobby with a large sofa, and the locker room has showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body soap, though you need your own towel. There is no car park or bicycle parking, so come by train.
Studio A, at the back, is mostly used for stretching and yoga. Studio B overlooks the tree-lined street and is the main pole room; the studio calls it one of the largest pole-only rooms in Japan, with nine fixed poles. Studio C has one pole and is used for private lessons and rentals. All three get natural light during the day.
Choosing a Level
Absolute beginners should book Super Beginner, which covers walking around the pole, basic spins, climbs and poses. Beginner repeats that ground and adds your first attempt at going upside down. Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced then build combinations, choreography to music, and harder strength and flexibility tricks.
There are also spinning-pole classes, where the pole itself rotates, which the studio suggests trying only after you are comfortable on a static pole. Pole Movement focuses on the slower, sensual style of exotic pole, and the heels class uses 20cm pole shoes. The studio does not rent heels, so you will need your own pair for that class.
Booking and Checking In
To book your trial, register as a provisional member on the website, then choose any regular class from the schedule at the trial price. Once you become a full member, the trial price disappears, so take the trial first. Payment is by credit card only. There is no daily limit on bookings.
Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and you get the fee or class back; after that, nothing is refunded. The waitlist sends one email to everyone when a spot opens, and whoever books first gets it. On the day, you check in by scanning a QR code from your member page, which only appears from 15 minutes before class until 15 minutes after.
Plans, Tickets and Single Classes
The joining fee is ¥10,000, but a campaign waives it, and the rest of your first month's fee, if you sign up for a monthly plan by the end of the month after your trial. The Pole 4 plan costs ¥16,000 a month, Pole 6 is ¥24,000 and Pole 8 is ¥31,000. Unused classes roll over without limit while you stay on a plan. People who mainly want stretching and yoga can take the Fitness 4 plan at ¥14,400, and plan members who run out of classes can buy an add-on pack of ten for ¥38,000, valid for four months.
If you would rather pay per class, the member plan has no monthly fee, and the campaign halves the joining fee. A regular pole or hoop class then costs ¥4,800, against ¥5,500 for a visitor. Our advice: skip the visitor rate if you plan to come more than twice, since the discounted joining fee pays for itself quickly.
Practice Hours and Studio Rental
Members can book free pole, an hour of practice on their own, for ¥1,500, or buy a ten-hour ticket for ¥11,000. The studios can also be rented by members: Studio B with its nine poles costs ¥12,000 an hour, Studio A ¥5,500 and Studio C ¥3,600.
Night owls and early risers have their own packs. Studio B can be booked from midnight to 6am, or from 6am to 9am, for ¥15,000 each, and these must be reserved by noon the day before. Each studio has a Bluetooth speaker for your own music.
Who You Will Meet Here
Men are welcome to join and can take every class on the schedule, according to the studio's FAQ. The instructor team includes Haruna, Momo, Lilika, Ayano and Popo, and the fitness side covers stretching, an inside-flow yoga class set to music, and ballet barre for people who never got to take ballet as children.
For pole, wear a sports bra or tank top with shorts, because bare skin grips the pole; for fitness classes, leggings are fine. Rental wear is kept at reception if you forget yours, in limited sizes. Bring a towel for wiping the pole and some water.
Plan Around 24 October and Aoyama Streets
All lessons are cancelled on Saturday 24 October 2026 for a studio event, so book a different day if you are visiting that week. The October timetable was published on 20 September, and the studio usually posts the next month's schedule around the 20th.
Gaien-mae puts you close to Jingu Gaien's ginkgo avenue, which turns gold in autumn, and Aoyama-dori's cafes are a short walk away. If classes here are full, TRANSFORM in Shoto is a short Ginza Line ride to Shibuya plus a ten-minute walk.
