Sixty-seven forty-one Hollywood Boulevard sits directly on the Walk of Fame, in a stretch of the city that is overwhelmingly organised around tourists paying tourist prices. The Taco Bell Cantina there does two things that make it genuinely useful rather than merely present: it serves alcohol until the early hours, and it discounts that alcohol every single afternoon between two and five.

Happier Hour is daily, not a weekday promotion
The two-to-five window runs every day, which is unusual — most happy hours on this boulevard are weekday-only and heavily caveated. Three hours every afternoon on a street where a beer at a bar with a view of the Chinese Theatre costs what it costs is a real piece of information for anyone spending a day in Hollywood.
It also lands at the right time of day. Two in the afternoon is when a Hollywood walking day starts to sag: you have done the handprints and the star hunting, your feet hurt, and everything nearby is either a queue or expensive. A sit-down, air-conditioned room with discounted drinks at exactly that hour is well-positioned, whether or not you came to Los Angeles to eat here.
The late end of the schedule
Monday through Thursday and Sunday the room runs from nine in the morning until two the following morning. Friday and Saturday it pushes to three. That places it among the small number of places on the boulevard still fully operating after the venues and the theatres have let out.
Hollywood Boulevard at one in the morning is a genuinely different street from Hollywood Boulevard at one in the afternoon, and the options narrow sharply. A room with lights on, food, a bathroom and somewhere to sit has a value at that hour that has nothing to do with the menu.
What the Cantina format actually pours
Beer, wine and sangria are available to guests twenty-one and over, along with the alcohol-infused Freezes — the chain's frozen drinks with a spirit added. Cantina locations also carry a slightly different design standard from an ordinary restaurant, with proper seating and a bar rather than a moulded booth arrangement.
Alcohol service ends before the kitchen does, which is the standard pattern and the thing most people get wrong. If a drink is part of the plan, do not arrive at half past one on a Friday expecting to order one — you will be ordering food only, and the Happier Hour window is a much better bet anyway.
The nine in the morning open
Breakfast from nine is the underused half of the schedule. Hollywood Boulevard breakfast is dominated by hotel dining rooms and a handful of very busy cafés, and a cheap sit-down option that opens before the Walk of Fame crowd builds is genuinely useful if you are staying nearby and starting early.
It also matters for anyone doing the tourist route properly. The Chinese Theatre forecourt, the Dolby, the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Museum are all within a few blocks, and they are all considerably more pleasant before eleven in the morning. Eating first at nine and starting at half past is the sequence that works.
Where it sits on the boulevard
The address puts you between Highland and Las Palmas, which is the densest tourist stretch of the boulevard. The Hollywood and Highland Metro B line station is a short walk west, and the Hollywood and Vine station is a longer walk east — both are viable and both are better than driving.
Parking in this part of Hollywood is expensive and the structures fill in the evening. If you are drinking, the Metro is the obvious answer, and the B line runs late enough on weekend nights to get you back downtown or into the Valley without a rideshare surge.
Ordering when the boulevard is at its worst
Between about eight and eleven on a weekend evening the room fills with the crowd coming off the boulevard, and the counter queue becomes the constraint rather than the kitchen. Ordering through the app before you cross the street turns that into a collection rather than a wait, and the pickup flow runs independently of the people standing at the register.
If you are here for the bar rather than the food, the seating near the front fills first and the back of the room stays open longer. It is a small thing and it is the difference between standing with a drink in a crowd and sitting down with one, which on Hollywood Boulevard at ten at night is not a small difference at all.
Honest positioning
This is a fast-food restaurant with a licence, on a street full of them, and it is not a reason to visit Hollywood. What it is is a reliable, cheap, air-conditioned room in a neighbourhood where those three things rarely appear together, with a daily discount window and hours that outlast almost everything around it.
Used deliberately — as an afternoon reset in the middle of a long walking day, or as the thing that is still open when the boulevard has emptied out — it earns its place in a Hollywood itinerary. Used as a destination, it will disappoint, and reasonably so.
