Most seasonal attractions hide their pricing behind a booking widget that quietly shows you a different number depending on which day you clicked. The pumpkin patch on Jefferson Boulevard does the opposite: it publishes the whole October price list as a table, date by date, before you commit to anything. Read it and the month stops being a single event and becomes about fourteen different-priced versions of the same lot.
Seasonal days out are priced by date now, and the cheap version is usually the same lot on a different afternoon. Tell Karpo when you are actually free and it will find the version near you that costs a third of the headline price.
The table, and what it tells you
Weekdays are the floor. From the second week onwards, Monday to Thursday runs $10 a head from ten in the morning until nine at night, rising to $12 for the final week when demand catches up with the calendar. That is the same lot, the same pumpkin village, the same straw maze and the same slides you would be queueing for on a Saturday.
Weekends climb steadily through the month. The first weekend is $18 after eleven in the morning; by the middle of October it is $23, and for the last two weekends it is $25. Halloween itself is a short day, nine to five, at $15.
The line in the table almost nobody uses is the weekend early window. On Saturdays and Sundays the gates open at nine and there is a separate, cheaper price until eleven — $15 on the first weekend, $18 in the middle, $20 at the end. That is a saving of five to seven dollars a person for arriving at the two hours of the day when the lot is empty and the light is good. With a family of four that is the difference between a $100 morning and a $60 one, for a better version of the same visit.
What is on the lot
It is a substantial build for a temporary attraction: a pumpkin village, pony rides, a tipi village, face painting, oversized rocking horses, a super slide, a petting zoo, a straw maze, a rainbow slide, bounce attractions and pumpkin decorating. That list is the reason the pricing matters — none of it changes with the ticket price.
The list also sets the age range. This is built for under-tens and it does that job properly: enough separate things to fill two or three hours without anyone needing to be persuaded to stay. Older children will do the slides and be finished in forty minutes, which is fine at a $10 Tuesday and considerably less fine at a $25 Saturday.
The part that is not included
Entry buys you the gate. Activities are sold separately, with their own hours and their own prices, and this is where a cheap day quietly becomes an expensive one. Budget for the ticket and then budget again for whatever the pony ride and the slide cost on the day, because a patch full of children is not a place where you will successfully argue about it.
There is a partial rebate built in, and it is worth knowing which version you get. Weekday admission comes with five dollars in Pumpkin Bucks, which can only be spent on pumpkins. At weekends adults get the same five dollars in Pumpkin Bucks and children get five activity tickets instead. Neither is a large sum, but the weekday version effectively brings a $10 entry down to $5 provided you were going to buy a pumpkin anyway — which, at a pumpkin patch, you were.

The nine o'clock close is the underused part
Weekday opening runs until nine at night, which is much later than most attractions of this kind and is the detail that makes a midweek visit workable for anybody with a job. A pumpkin patch at seven in the evening in October is dark, lit and far more atmospheric than the same lot at eleven in the morning, and it is the cheapest hour of entertainment available on the west side.
The three Fridays in the second half of the month split the day in two — $12 until five in the afternoon, $18 for the evening session that runs to ten. If you want the lit, after-dark version at a weekday sort of price, a Thursday evening does it for $10 and a Friday afternoon does it for $12.
Where it is, and the trade-off
Jefferson Boulevard puts this on the western side of the city near the 405 and the 90, which is convenient from the west side and the beach cities and a real commitment from anywhere east. Parking is on site and is the obvious weekend pinch point; on a Tuesday it is a non-issue, and downtown Culver City is ten minutes away for food afterwards.
It is not a working farm and it does not pretend to be one — nobody is cutting anything off a vine here. If a field is what you want, that exists an hour north in Ventura County and is a different kind of day entirely. What this is instead is a well-run decorated lot with enough to occupy small children, in the middle of a large city, open late, and cheap on the right date. Judged as that, it is very good.
