WNYC Transmitter Park
4.7 (1,684)park
Once a radio tower site, this Greenpoint waterfront park pairs open lawns and a pier with sweeping Manhattan views.
Description

Past a mural at the entrance, the grounds open into wide lawns where people picnic, tan, and walk dogs, with live music occasionally drifting across the grass. A small path leads through a protected bird habitat, while the pier provides room for fishing and skyline watching. Further in, families have access to a children's playground with a sprinkler. Though the waterfront fills up toward sunset, the park maintains a tidy, safe, and peaceful neighborhood atmosphere.
