Waterfront Swimming With High Bridge Views
Explore a Bronx park with trails, courts, and an outdoor stage.
🏊 Pool To Promenade
At the Harlem River edge, Roberto Clemente State Park turns a swim into a full Bronx afternoon. The Olympic size pool sits beside picnic areas and a promenade with views of High Bridge. Bring a towel, then leave room for the riverfront grounds.
Daily hours run from 8 AM to half past eight PM, while holiday indoor hours run from 11 AM to 7 PM. There are no lockers, and on site parking and barbecue grills help shape the visit. The park can draw large crowds, with staff enforcing rules across the recreation building, trails, and promenade.
Opened in 1973, the 25 acre waterfront space was later renamed for Roberto Clemente, the first Latino American inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Recent updates added an outdoor stage for musical performances, plus soccer, baseball, and T ball fields. Beyond the main swim area, a kiddie pool and diving pool sit alongside an indoor basketball court reserved for league play.
