Flaky Portuguese Egg Tarts in Crown Heights
Grab a warm custard tart from a walk up window, then try a rotating flavor like yuzu or pistachio cream.
🥧 Crown Heights Custard Tarts
Lisbonata is a walk up window in Crown Heights that bakes Portuguese egg tarts from scratch at 619 St Johns Pl. It began as a farmers market pop up, and the pastry is rolled and folded with European butter. Each pastel de nata has a crisp, layered crust around a rich custard that balances sweetness without feeling too heavy. The traditional version gets a dusting of cinnamon, while seasonal flavors rotate through yuzu, mango sticky rice, and pistachio cream. The window has no indoor seating, only an outdoor bench and standing tables under an awning. Hours run 8 AM to 8 PM Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.
