Description

Opened on the Strand in 1870, this compact West End venue seats 691 people across three levels. The current building dates from 1926 and preserves rare early stage mechanisms like thunder drums and lightning sheets. Beyond its heritage design, the theatre hosts contemporary productions such as bold new West End musicals and improvised performances where no two shows are alike.
