Long-time Chinatown businessman Louis Wong designed the restaurant to bridge the neighborhood's generations, placing it alongside historic local shops. The experience is defined by a compact dining room with closely packed tables, which often results in lines extending out the door during peak hours. Despite the constant rush, the staff is noted for being exceptionally welcoming compared to typical local spots. While dim sum is a major draw, the kitchen is also known for serving classic plates like honey walnut jumbo shrimp and beef chow fun to crowded tables.
