Austin Stages, Outdoor Sets To Red River
Move from an outdoor Eastside set to a smaller Red River room, using two Austin venues to change the pace. The route keeps the focus on live music while shifting from open-air space to closer stage views.
Two Austin music rooms
Historic Scoot Inn, an Eastside yard
Historic Scoot Inn is a music venue at 1308 East 4th Street with an outdoor stage and an open yard. The yard gives local and touring acts room to play under the trees, making it a natural first stop when you want air around the set. Check the calendar before you go, then leave time for food and bars along the East Side.

Stubb's Indoors, a close stage
Stubb's Indoors is the smaller room at the Red River barbecue-and-music venue at 801 Red River Street. The compact setup keeps the stage close to the crowd, a different experience from the outdoor yard at Scoot Inn. Check the event schedule, then use this stop for a later set when you want a tighter room and stronger focus on the stage.

How the two connect
Together, the venues build an Austin night around two room sizes. The plan moves from an open Eastside yard to a close Red River stage, changing the amount of space around the music. Start at Scoot Inn when you want an outdoor set, then choose a Stubb's Indoors event that fits the rest of the evening.
