Park Play and Dining
Midtown's Peppercorn Kitchen
Land of Plenty brings layered Sichuan cooking to Midtown, with chefs using forty cooking techniques to balance mala, fish-fragrant, and strange flavors. Seafood, vegetables, and mountain delicacies share the menu with Sichuan peppercorns, chili, and bean paste. The polished room keeps an unfussy feel and can handle large groups, while fast, attentive service suits a shared meal. The venue also has a small bar. It opens at 11:00 AM Monday through Thursday.

Smith Street Patio Evenings
Dinner at Landmark Cevicheria pairs Peruvian ceviche with Mexican cooking, house-made tortillas, and artisanal cocktails. The spacious back patio extends the restaurant’s seating outdoors and can host private parties. Inside, exposed brick and colorful Peruvian art shape a cozy room, with a lounge set aside for mezcal tastings. Reservations are recommended for evening tables. Doors open at 4:00 PM daily, with Friday and Saturday service continuing until 12:00 AM.

Powell Boulevard Age Zones
Langston Hughes Playground gives Harlem families separate play areas for toddlers, younger kids, and older children. Tree-themed climbing towers sit beside swings and fast slides, with carved wooden faces adding character to the equipment. Sprinklers cool the grounds, and paved basketball courts open another lane for active play. A picnic area offers a place to pause. The public park has free entry and stays open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
