Banneker Playground

Named after the African-American mathematician and writer Benjamin Banneker, this playground shares a block with P.S. 256. Beyond the play equipment and swings, the park provides an asphalt yard with basketball and handball courts, making it a draw for kids and teens. It sits directly across the street from the larger Herbert Von King Park, serving as a compact complement to the neighboring green space.
