The famous steps are only the start at Philadelphia Museum of Art. Inside the neoclassical landmark, the collection spans over 300,000 works across European, American and Asian traditions. Ancient sculpture and modern masterworks give you centuries to explore, with Impressionist galleries adding another reason to head indoors.

Start with van Gogh and his Sunflowers, then explore historic pots and ruins you can walk through. The spacious galleries bring those different art traditions into one museum. Special exhibitions and cultural events also extend beyond the main building into the Rodin Museum.

At 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the museum opens Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 10 AM to a quarter to 9 PM, with Tuesday and Wednesday closed. After the galleries, step back outside and take in the broad views across the city skyline.
