The Hangar at Regatta Harbour
theater
A waterfront venue inside a restored 1918 naval air station in Coconut Grove, once home to Pan Am flying boats.
Description

Built on Dinner Key—an island connected to the mainland in 1914 after earning its name as a boaters' picnic stop—the site originated in 1918 as the first continental naval air station in the States through the end of World War I. Across the 1930s and 1940s, the hangar sheltered Pan American World Airways' Sikorsky S41 and S42 Clipper planes. Today, the historic structure provides 20,000 square feet of interior space along the coastal waters of Coconut Grove.
